Dan Rossiter

As a world leading multi-discipline building science centre, BRE has been supporting the industry in building a better world together for over 90 years.  Chartered Architectural Technologist Dan Rossiter has been actively supporting the industry on a Welsh, UK and international level.

Within Wales, Dan is a committee member of Constructing Excellence’s Youth arm G4C, Chair of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologist’s Welsh community, and is supporting BIM adoption through Welsh BIM community groups and events; Dan was recognised for his work in Wales by previously being a Constructing Excellence in Wales Young Achiever of the Year.

Within the UK, Dan delivers BIM training, research, advisory and certification services for BRE, sits on the operational task group for buildingSMART UK & Ireland, the UK BIM Alliance’s leadership group, and sits on the BSI standards committee for Construction design, modelling and data exchange.

Internationally, Dan represents buildingSMART UK & Ireland on international working groups, undertakes European research projects and has travelled to several international destinations to deliver BIM services.

Dan has culminated his BIM expertise in his own blog, ‘There’s No BIM Like Home’ (www.BIMblog.house) where he has developed an information model of his two-up, two-down in South Wales in compliance with the BIM Level 2 suite of standards, as well as several National and International standards; showing that even a mid-terrace home can be as smart as any central government project.
